Magalahi
Hafa adai, I am a native speaker of the Chamorro language, and I would like to assist with translations for the Chamorro Wiki
Bienbenido
tulaikaHello, Magalahi. Welcome to Chamoru Wikipedia. I am happy that another speaker of chamorro language want to help here. I hope you enjoy, thanks for your time and contributions. I don´t speak chamorro, but if you need to ask me something I´ll try to answer the best I know.
I think is possible that your first sentence perhaps would be better in your user page than in this one. In the user talk pages usually the comments are signed by their authors, because these are to post messages among users.
Best regards.--Jatrobat 01:57, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- Hello again. Don´t worry, everyone begins as new user. I saw that you don´t know yet how to sign. It is an automatic action, you have to write this: ~~~~ the system understand the code and introduce your signature with timestamp. You can write these characters picking, the second from the right, over the edition area. Regards.--Jatrobat 02:19, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Welcome
tulaikaHi! Welcome to Chamorro Wikipedia. If you need help with the interwikis, the templates or other things, please tell it to me. --Jeneme 21:36, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- Hafa adai, Wow! I wandered by to see how Chamoru wiki was going and found the interface actually in Chamorro! That's awesome, though now I can't read anything, but it's a small price to pay. I've been trying to tell some people at Guampedia that they need to start fooling around with a separate site, import everything to the wiki under an open license and encourage people on both English and Chamorro wikis, but they don't appear to want to listen. In any case, if you ever need any admin help on Commons or English Wikipedia, don't hesitate to drop me a line. Si yu'us ma'ase, BanyanTree 05:49, 15 Måyu 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I'll try to pitch in where I can. Also, I created commons:Category:Latte stones, which may be of some interest. Shoot. - BanyanTree 10:07, 16 Hunio 2008 (UTC)

Re:List of articles all wikis should have
tulaikaSi Yu'us Ma'ase' Magalahi. Thank you for your contribution. I help with limitations, the important work is doing by Gadao01 and you. Both did a very good job in Beta, my congratulations. I think probably you don´t knew this: meta:Proposals for closing projects/Closure of Chamorro Wikipedia, now the circumstances are other and this wiki will continue. There are one thousand articles in the list, don´t worry, it´s a long time work; perhaps you can move the page to a chamorro title. Best regards.--Jatrobat 19:20, 23 Abrit 2008 (UTC)
Translation
tulaikaI've seen that this article hasn't any text. Could you translate a few phrases, please? --Jeneme 12:06, 31 Måyu 2008 (UTC)
The translation request
tulaikaThe translation request
Hi! Could I ask you to translate the article which you can find below into Chamorro? Please help me to show our language to the world – the article is quite short and has been selected from English and Silesian article and shortened as possible to contain only the basic informations. If you would finish, please, let me know on my Silesian or Polish discussion. Thanks in advance.
PS. If you want me to translate any article into Polish or Silesian, contact me without hesistation.
So, here’s the text to translation:
The Silesian language (Silesian: ślůnsko godka, ślůnski, sometimes also pů našymu) is a language spoken by people in the Upper Silesia region in Poland, but also in Czech Republic and Germany. In the National Census of Poland in 2002 about 56 000 people declared Silesian as their native language.
Silesian is closely related to Polish language, that’s why it is considered as a dialect of Polish by some linguists.
Alphabet
tulaikaThere’s not one Silesian alphabet. The Silesian speakers are used to write their language with the Polish characters. In 2006 was invented the new Silesian alphabet, based on all of the Silesian scripts (there’s 10 of them). It is widely used on the Internet, as well as in the Silesian Wikipedia.
Aa Bb Cc Ćć Čč Dd Ee Ff Gg Hh Ii Jj Kk Ll Mm Nn Ńń Oo Pp Rr Řř Ss Śś Šš Tt Uu Ůů Ww Yy Zz Źź Žž
And some digraphs: Ch Dz Dź Dž.

Wish I had learned Chamorro when I had the chance!!
tulaikaHI! I was born and raised in Merizo and many of my family's friends spoke Chamorro, but I sadly never learned it. I remember thinking it sounded so beautiful and mysterious. I'm trying to make up for lost time now by learning it. Thanks for keeping the lovely Chamorro language alive. Sprinkler21 05:42, 9 Hunio 2011 (UTC)Sprinkler21
Welcome back!
tulaikaHi! How are you? It is nice to see a native speaker here. I don't speak the language but I would like to try reviving this Wikipedia. I have contacted different speakers of the language on several social media platforms to see whether we can build an editing community here. --Caro de Segeda (talk) 05:26, 29 Hunio 2023 (UTC)
- Hi Caro. Thanks for your comment. There aren't that many native speakers of Chamorro left, so it would be hard, but I'm glad for your efforts. I created a lot of the original Chamorro articles you see here in hopes that it would inspire other Chamorro speakers to do the same. It's been a while since I've last used Wikipedia so it's going to take some time to get used to the system again. Magalahi (talk) 05:42, 29 Hunio 2023 (UTC)
- Landmarks in the Northern Mariana Islands
- List of articles that the Wikipedia in Chamorru should have
- The Mariana Islands chain in the northwest Pacific Ocean, and the associated Mariana Trench, are named after her.
Hi
tulaikaI've contacted different people on Facebook, Reddit, Twitter and Instagram that apparently speak Chamorru (as their accounts are in that language and they have publications in Chamorru) but I haven't received any answer. I leave you the pages here just in case you want to contact them yourself in Chamorru (maybe they will answer you):
Do you mind if I post here different sentences for you to translate to Chamorru or would you rather not do it? I am asking because if I have, for instance, the list of countries in Oceania and the sentence "X is a country in Oceania" in Chamorru I can create all of them and add them a template. Please let me know if this is something of your interest and if not, I won't do anything here and will stop bothering you with this due to the fact that I don't speak the language and it seems nobody was interested on this project. Thank you in advance for your time. --Caro de Segeda (talk) 07:52, 7 Hulio 2023 (UTC)
